Upper secondary school pupils who are contemplating a degree programme in science, or simply have an interest in science, can try three days of practical training in November, visit us during our Open House/U-days in March, attend the spring and autumn public lectures, or take part all year round in the numerous events organised by UNF (Danish Youth Association of Science). Ninth-year and tenth-year school pupils can get on-the-job training at the Faculty of Science for a week in October, attend the public lectures, and take part in the UNF (Danish Youth Association of Science) Science Nights lectures and other events for school pupils. Upper secondary schoolteachers can attend inspiration days in the following science subjects: geography, biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, and physical education and sport. The Visitors' Service at the Faculty of Science provides upper secondary schoolteachers and their classes with an opportunity to visit departments and research laboratories relevant to their teaching. Students and young researchers can also visit the schools and hold interesting popular science lectures. Many upper secondary schoolteachers take their classes along to the public lectures. Schoolteachers can attend an annual science inspiration day at the Faculty of Science, take part in the public lectures, take their classes to Nature in the Tent each year during the Aarhus Festival week, visit the school service at the Natural History Museum, or arrange a visit by biology students who collaborate with the museum's school service.
