At the national meeting of the American Chemical Society (ACS) held in Denver on 29 August, the award was presented to Professor Besenbacher, Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Centre (iNANO), Aarhus University, and Professor Steve Granick, University of Illinois. Professor Besenbacher’s lecture is entitled Catalytic Model Systems Studied by High-resolution, Video-rate Scanning Tunneling Microscopy and Professor Granick’s lecture is entitled Janus Colloids.
The award is usually given to US citizens only, which makes the recognition of Professor Besenbacher even more outstanding.
